Well, we finally got around to seeing The Two Towers last night. The short version: nice effects and over-all it’s fairly well done, but I think I liked the first one better. Read on for my thoughts.

New X10.com modules
Well, I just noticed this, anyway…X10.com has new modules for sale (applicance and lamp) that are two-way, meaning they will respond to a (computer) status request with their current state. Also, the lamp module remembers it’s dimmer setting, and when turned off, can ramp up from off to the previous setting over a 2 second period. All this for $32.99 apiece. Not bad. I’ll be ordering some soon, and will follow up on how they work.

I just found out that my H1-B extension was granted, so I’m good for 240 or so days.
The Clie NX70: My Impressions
Well, I’ve had my new Clie for a little over a month now, and I have to say that I’m really impressed by the unit over-all. Of course, I came from a Palm IIIx, so things like the screen, the resolution, and, oh, maybe colour are bound to have an impact. There’s some stuff that I’m not so impressed with, though. Read on to find out what I like and what I wish Sony had done a little differently.
