Welcome to the latest version of my blog. I've had a couple in the past. They start off strong, but I end up getting in my head about what to write and how good it needs to be that they petered off and ended up being ignored.
This one hopefully will be different, as I have a lot of new things going on in my life, and I really want to talk about them as they happen.
The story so far...
After over 26 years living in the United States, we made the decision last year to move back to Canada, and now live in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on the beautiful island of Cape Breton. We did things exactly backwards: packed up, sent our things with a moving company, and went. No place to live, no jobs lined up. Within the first month, we bought a house, moved all our stuff into it from storage, Michelle set up her practice, and I...applied to the local college for their 2-year Culinary Management program, to which I was accepted. Which means I spent the better part of 9 months "semi-retired". Except busy. And that's what this blog is going to be about. Come along for the ride.
