Welcome to Brede Logic

As my wife Michelle started her practice here, I took on two things: the redesign of her website, and creating her practice software. As I was thinking about that, I realized that these were things I could do on the side while I waited for school to start. To be fair, I've always realized that, but was usually too wrapped up in my own things for formalize it.

But now I have, and Brede Logic was born. I'm focusing on three areas: custom web applications, websites, and hosting solutions. As I have a fairly decent, albeit modest, homelab, I'm covering hosting for both our websites and Michelle's practice software. As my client base expands, I'll leverage VPS's and other services provided by Canadian companies.

The other thing I want to highlight, and this will be a regular thing on this blog, is how I've been leaning heavily into "AI" (I don't like the term, but people get what you're talking about more readily than "LLM"). This will be a separate post, but where I hate "vibe-coding", I've discovered that these things can be an excellent tool for architecture, and carefully-directed coding. The meta-discovery is the old computing tenet "garbage in, garbage out" is true here too: if you're an experienced systems and/or software engineer, you have the background to direct these LLMs to produce higher-quality output.

So Brede Logic is a company of one, but there are other "employees".
